RADIO TRANSCEIVER RS-6
Year 1951
The Radio Station RS-6 is a compact four-unit set for transmitting CW and
receiving CW or AM. It operates from a-c, storage battery, or hand
generator, and consist of a Transmitter RT-6, Receiver RR-6, Power Supply
RP-6, and a Filter Accessory Unit RA-6. Probably made by GTE in Waltham, MA.
The RS-6 was originally developed by the CIA (Central Intelligence Service),
but a large number of Rs-6 set used by SAC (Strategic Air Command) as a
special equipment in long range mission.
